GrantCrumb Privacy Notes
GrantCrumb does not require an account in the current release and does not sell personal data.
Data Collected
Organization type, service area, approximate budget range, project need, and local profile continuity.
Use Of Data
Grants.gov search, USAspending prior-award context, lead triage, deadline planning, and readiness checklist display.
Search terms may be sent to the configured backend and to public-data providers needed to answer the request. Durable saved items, accounts, sync, alerts, and subscriptions are not part of this release unless the product-specific notes above explicitly say otherwise.
Retention And Deletion
Search requests are used to return public-data results. Profile fields are saved locally on device for convenience. Clearing app data or uninstalling removes that local state; live results, readiness context, and deadline context are displayed in-session. If accounts or cloud sync are added later, this policy must be updated with account deletion instructions before release.
Sharing, Sale, And Tracking
This release does not sell data, does not include third-party advertising, and does not include cross-app tracking. If analytics, crash reporting, purchases, accounts, push notifications, or cloud storage are added later, update this policy and store privacy labels before submission.
Security
Network requests should be made over HTTPS to the deployed backend and public-data sources. Do not put secret API keys in Expo public environment variables.
Public-data caveat: government and regulatory datasets can be incomplete, delayed, or revised. The app should be treated as a source-linked screening tool, not a guarantee or professional determination.
